About
What this site is
Hybrid Race Gear is an independent, affiliate-only site. There is no shop and no stock. The guides are buying notes: what a piece of kit has to do, and which merchants are worth opening. They are not wear tests, scores, or stories from readers.
Placeholder copy is marked on every guide. Merchant buttons are ordinary catalogue searches until affiliate programmes are approved.
How a guide is built
A guide starts with the job of the kit: the movement it has to survive. Then it lists the trade-off, so you can read a product page without a score attached. Shop buttons come last. They are labelled as advertising. They are not the argument.
Supplement guides add only an authorised EU health claim, plus the conditions of use. If the product you buy does not meet those conditions, the claim does not apply. None of this is a dose, a diagnosis, or a training plan.
Who writes it
The site is edited by Jochum van Brummelen, a physiotherapist who races Hyrox recreationally. He writes the guides in his own time.
The physio background shows up as an interest in load, in how tissues cope with training, and in kit that does not fight the way you move. It does not show up as treatment. Nothing here is a plan for an injury. If you are in pain, see a clinician who can assess you in person.
Hyrox, named carefully
Hyrox is a trademark of its owner. Hybrid Race Gear is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hyrox or any race organiser. The name is used only to describe the kind of hybrid racing people train for. You will not find the Hyrox logo on this site.
How the links will work
No affiliate programme is approved yet. The buttons are placeholder catalogue searches. When a programme is live, a purchase through our link may earn a commission. You would not pay more because of that.
The language of the page decides which shops are listed. English pages list US shops only, starting with Amazon.com. Dutch pages list bol.com, Decathlon.nl, and Amazon.nl. German pages list Amazon.de and Decathlon.de. A country header only picks the suggested button inside that list. It does not add a shop from another country.
